Logo Design That Works as Hard as Your Business

Custom logos for businesses and nonprofits in Middle Tennessee, Knoxville and Atlanta, built on strategy and ready for every place your brand shows up.

What Professional Logo Design Includes

Professional logo design turns your positioning into a mark people recognize and trust. At Gridwell, every logo starts with strategy, then moves through concepts, refinement and a complete file set, so the mark works on a website, a sign, a shirt and a social avatar without losing clarity.

A logo is not decoration. It is the first signal of who you are and who you serve. We design for recognition and range: a primary mark, simplified versions for small spaces, and color and type rules so everyone who touches your brand uses it the same way.

What’s included

Everything Logo Design Covers

  • Brand discovery

We start with your audience, competitors and goals, so the mark is designed to position you, not just to look good.

  • Original concepts

Distinct directions drawn from the strategy, each explained in plain terms so you can choose with confidence.

  • Refinement

We sharpen the chosen direction through focused rounds of feedback until it holds up at every size.

  • Responsive versions

Primary, secondary and icon versions so the mark works in a header, on a favicon and on a storefront.

  • Color and typography

A defined palette and type pairing that carry the logo’s personality across everything you produce.

  • Complete file set

Vector and web files in full color, one color, white and black: AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and PNG.

  • Brand guidelines

A clear guide covering clear space, minimum sizes, color codes and misuse, so your brand stays consistent as your team grows.

How it works

Our Logo Design Process

  1. Discover

A working session on your business, audience, competitors and where the brand needs to go.

  2. Concept

We present distinct logo directions, each tied back to the strategy.

  3. Refine

We develop your chosen direction, test it at real sizes and adjust.

  4. Deliver

You receive final files, brand guidelines and help putting the new mark to work.

Before you hire

How to Choose a Logo Designer

Signs you’re getting a business asset, not just a picture.

  • They ask about strategy first

A designer who opens with fonts and colors before asking about your audience and competitors is guessing.

  • You own everything

You should receive full rights and editable vector files, not a single PNG.

  • It works small

Ask to see the mark at favicon size and in one color. If it falls apart, it isn’t finished.

  • No templates or stock icons

Logo makers and stock marks can’t be trademarked and may already belong to someone else’s brand.

Logo Design FAQ

Questions We Hear Most

Don’t see yours?

Ask us directly
How long does logo design take?

Most logo projects take four to six weeks from discovery to final files. Timelines depend on how quickly feedback comes back and whether the project includes full brand guidelines.

How many logo concepts will I see?

We present several distinct directions, each grounded in your brand strategy, then refine the one you choose through focused rounds of revisions.

What files will I receive?

You receive vector and web files in full color, one color, white and black, including AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and PNG, plus a brand guide showing how to use them.

Do I own my logo?

Yes. When the project is complete, you own the final logo and all delivered files outright.

Can you refresh our existing logo instead of starting over?

Yes. If your current mark has equity worth keeping, we can modernize it and build a consistent system around it rather than replace it.

Do you design logos for nonprofits and schools?

Yes. Our logo work includes nonprofits, schools and advocacy organizations as well as growing companies.

Do you work with businesses outside Tennessee and Georgia?

Yes. Our offices are in Franklin, Knoxville and Atlanta, and we design logos for clients anywhere in the United States.
